Immortality
See how the mass of men worry themselves into nameless graves, while here and there a great unselfish soul forgets himself into immortality.
What Are My Thoughts Regarding Astrology and Numerology?
Remember: Read EVERYTHING!
What I mean by this is, whether you believe in the topic or not, whether someone tells you to (or not to) read something – read it. Only in reading it yourself will you ever make a final decision in what you do believe and what you do not.
As for what I believe? I believe that both astrology and numerology can help someone in finding their direction in life; but I feel that it is also possible that they can lead a person in the wrong direction. The key is in knowing how to interpret things properly.
I have studied both astrology and numerology over the years. At this time though, I use neither. There was always something in the back of my mind that never let me truly believe in either. BUT, it was when I finally understood my purpose in life that I also had one of those ‘Ah-Ha’ moments when I realized that the ‘overall’ information gleaned from both astrology and numerology were right all along.
Nowadays, I trust and have faith in God/Spirit and my Life’s Purpose. There is no question about what I am supposed to do, or be doing. If something comes up for which I have a question, instead of going to numerology or astrology for guidance (because being human, I can misinterpret things), I go to God and have faith that the question will be answered – and in my best interest.
Change Your Brain, Change Your Body
Another great book by Daniel Amen is Change Your Brain, Change Your Body:
If you struggle with food addiction, or have found that no diet works for you; or maybe you’ve tried everything to get that flat stomach – or even if you stress over wrinkles and grey hair – this is a book for you.
Sometimes there are things going on in our brains that we just don’t know about. Stop struggling with the ‘what’ and find the ‘what’ and the ‘answer’ at the same time.
We are meant to live happy, healthy, enjoyable lives.
Doubt
If you have doubt, then you do not know where you are going. Once you know where you are going, there is no doubt.
What Is YOUR Life’s Purpose?
Do you know that YOUR life’s purpose is different than everyone else’s? No two are alike. Yes, they may seem similar, but they are not exactly alike. Which means, no one can take YOUR road, and no one can take from you what is rightfully yours – Your Purpose.
How do you find it? That’s a question most never find the answer to, but it is also the easiest question to find the answer to. Think back to when you were a child; what is it that you enjoyed doing so much that you forgot about time? This is the clue to where to start looking for answers.
Follow that clue. You might mean you need to do some more studying – more learning. You might follow that clue and it will lead you to another one. Trust in the process.
When we find our life’s purpose, we also find a wealth of energy. We wake early in the morning, work all day – enjoying the process of creating – and then fall quickly asleep at night, waking in the morning to do it all over again.
Once you find your Life’s Purpose, you will never know procrastination; never know fear. You’ll stop questioning whether what you are doing is the ‘right’ thing to do.
Money? Once you begin following your Life’s Purpose, you’ll find that life gives you things you never dream possible.
Throw Out Your Scale!
If you ever want to win the battle over weight – throw out your scale! For 98% of the people stepping on it it will only serve to make them depressed over what the scale shows. And, as many psychologists have shown, when we focus on failing at something, we usually bring about that same result.
Begin and/or rekindle your love affair with food – properly. If you are going out to a restaurant to eat – EAT! That’s what restaurants are meant for – to treat ourselves. Eating healthy at a restaurant is just going to lead us to finding a way of cheating somewhere else.
Eat foods you enjoy, but try to stick with nature’s own recipes at least 90% of the time. For the other 10%, if you want to eat four slices of garlic cheese bread and a bowl of pasta – do so and enjoy it. (I know I did last night) And, by tomorrow I will have lost whatever weight I gained from it.
Love food! Try out new recipes. Create some of your own. Begin to enjoy the seasonal harvests in your area. Enjoy food instead of fearing it and you’ll find you’ll eat the right amount for your body. Stop putting restriction on yourself and you’ll finally feel satisfied.
